We’re delighted to have had great interest in our AGM earlier this year, both from existing member groups and new groups who wished to become members and be part of the SIF network.
At our AGM we appointed new board members with a great range of skills and experience who, along with existing board members, will help drive SIF’s work forward. We’re also very grateful to those who have served as board members in the past and made a contribution to SIF’s work.
We welcomed the University of the West of Scotland’s Centre for Island Studies as an Associate Member, as well as some new individuals who wished to become Associate Members (who we won’t name for privacy reasons!). We would encourage anyone who is interested in our work but isn’t part of a community group to visit our Get Involved page to find out more and become an Associate Member.
The foundation of our network is our Community Member groups. We were delighted to welcome the following new Community Members in the past year:
- Coimhearsnachd Bharraidh agus Bhatarsaidh Ltd (Barra and Vatersay Community Ltd)
- Comann Eachdraidh Eirisgeidh – CEE – Eriskay Historical Society
We look forward to welcoming more this year!
