Mull and Iona Community Trust are well on their way to building 4 more houses at Ulva Ferry for long-term affordable rent. The Wee House Company has been appointed to build the houses; their modular construction approach enables a quick build, with the houses being prefabricated in their Ayrshire factory whilst groundworks are carried out simultaneously on site.
The project has been funded by the Rural & Islands Housing Fund, and MICT and the Wee House Company recently had the opportunity to explain the process to Kevin Stewart, MSP, Minister for Local Government, Housing & Planning, and give a virtual tour of the houses in the factory.
You can view the tour here and for more information about the Ulva Ferry Housing Project, contact Helen MacDonald: hmacdonald@mict.co.uk or 01680 812 912.
