Identified as an important topic by our housing working group, this session involved in depth learning on the practical aspects of becoming a landlord and how to manage tenancies, regulations, allocations, rent, and things to consider when tenants move in, management costs and local lettings policy. Policy input was also discussed with key points raised around tenancy and landlord types being incompatible with community-led housing, the need for communities to access the key worker fund, and the importance of communities having a genuine stake in offshore wind development and the legacy homes and services that may result.
