Sharing Solutions.

On an annual basis SIF organises a series of online topical sessions to enable members to share learning and ideas, discuss island priorities and feed directly into islands policy at a national level.  Building on these events, where requested by members, SIF facilitates the creation and management of a working group in order to provide a more in depth forum for specific project discussion, policy interaction and the development of a community of practice. Our working groups currently include housing, marine litter and climate resilience. 

Learning Exchange Visits: SIF is a member of the Scottish Community Alliance. Alongside the valuable connections and support this provides, it allows our SIF members access to the Community Learning Exchange – email us if you are interested in taking part.

SIF also showcases what is happening in the islands and across its membership with regular news articles, case studies and our ‘featured island’ series.
