The
Scottish Islands Federation’s aim is to become
the representative body for the 95 inhabited
offshore islands of Scotland.
Islands have their own issues regarding all
aspects of life, which are not always widely
understood by public bodies and funding
agencies.
They also have their own solutions to ensure
that island communities remain vibrant and
strong.
Within the federation, island organisations and
individuals can express their unique points of
views, share their stories and make better
representations at local, regional, national and
European level.
